Food allergies

The Food Standards Agency (FSA), in conjunction with DEFRA introduced new Allergen Labelling Laws which came into effect in December 2014.

These new regulations affect all foodservice organisations serving unpackaged food, or food that is packaged on site for immediate consumption.

Establishments are required to provide details of all possible allergens that are contained within the menu items being served. The details of the recognised allergens must be clearly marked so that staff can pass on any information to customers.

As many of you will be aware, all the items on our menus have been nutritionally analysed and due to some people having allergies we tend to keep items like nuts and seafood off our menus.

Please ask a member of the catering team for information on any of the Allergens below.  All catering staff are trained and will be able to pass on the correct information.  Alternatively, contact information for Lunchtime Company can be accessed here.

We are using a Preparation label system which tracks the following potential allergens:

 Eggs

 Molluscs

 Crustaceans

 Celery

 Milk

 Fish

 Soya

 Sesame

 Peanuts

 Mustard

 Lupin

 Gluten
